The things you remember...

I was looking through some of my photo folders from last summer when I ran across the series that contains these shots. I was instantly transported back to the June evening whe I took them. We had just decided it was time to finish getting dinner ready, after a lovely hour on the porch with some wine and snacks. Larry had gone to light the grill, and as I was gathering up the remains of cocktail hour, I noticed the play of the evening sun on the hayfield across the driveway. We ended up eating a little late as I recall. It was worth it. And this morning when everything is covered with a fresh blanket of white snow [which is on top of the fresh blanket of snow from yesterday, which was on top of the fresh blanket of snow from the day before that...] I really enjoyed remembering that evening.

Green .... I love it. Please winter .... be over soon! When we went to south MO last weekend we passed some fields that something was sprouting .... I have no idea what sprouts this early in MO , but it was so pretty. It was bright green and stark amongst all the brown and grey.

I still can't believe how much snow you have.
It really helps to look through old files, doesn't it?
